i just did a count and realised i'm hooked up to over 20 online platforms (think: youtube, flickr, blogger, myspace, twitter, tumblr, et al, et al, et al, et al, 4eva n everrr), and i'm totally lost.
like, what do i want my onlineness to reprazent?
i just logged onto my hotmail for the first time in like 6 years and it still exists, but all the data is gone! really weird spooky. tried to delete it but i have noooo idea what my password is, so i can't.

i've been reading articles by this 2nd wave feminist, Joreen. she has written heaps of articles on different aspects of the 1960s/70s feminist movement, i was particularly interested in one she wrote on 'trashing' within the fem movement. i've also been looking again at Corinne Day's work. She is the photographer who first shot Kate Moss, for The Face magazine, and her Vogue cover and was a front runner in the grunge photography/'heroin chic' movement.. she died this week of a brain tumor.

i've also been really getting into Spike Lee films. the library here has a bunch of them but you can only watch them in the library on the pokey lil TVs with special headphones.. but i've been trying. and i've been watching clips of his on youtube too.

so this is a long and chronic one. some notes:

i'm just sitting with my blog while it works out what is happening. 2010 its the future//2010 its the now won present.

yeah one month ago i was all about 2012 but now its too close to joke about so i'm planning an epic 2015 party. in 2015. back to the future 2 theme.

i wish i had my loose socks today. i just wanna feel comfy and high school and protected. and kankles.

that's what i'm talking about, except i rarely point my toe like that.

today i'm making work for an icecream themed exhibition at lil fish gallery in Sydney, and for an exhibition that Kati Cubby is curating in Santiago, Chile at the end of this month. i'm thinking... rainbows and sparkels. but, like, aren't i always.

i've had that song 'i love hardcore boys' by Limpwrist stuck in my head since i went to a punk show the night before last. it was pretty fun.

my sister Amy was *surprise* in melbourne 2 days ago, and brought me a Clarice Lispector book with a foreword by Helene Cixous!!! if you know me, you'd know that they are my 2 fav authors in the world. i love them because they write about writing as though there's nothing else going on, and nothing more important to write about than, 'i don't know what i'm writing about: I'm obscure even to myself'. these are my wise women. heres the book... actually, in real life, the text on the cover goes from left to right.

and i made this jeans bag. they were my first boyfriend's jeans, levis 501s that i made into a skirt, wore for like 5 years discarded, aaaaand, last week, when i realised i like zigzag and anything cool, i turned it into a bag. the strap says 'TOUGHMODE' on it.

yeh that's a giant sequin. i made it, but outta dan bell signature material. thankz. i've also got a cool 'writing the worst' project coming up soon. and i've been knitting. heaps.

last night i did new years full moon wishes from 2010. FROM the future. not FOR the future cos it might have already happenedd. like, lets get overconfident and manifest everything in 2 days!! but then what?

predictions for 2010:
legionnaires hats will still not be in fashion
my room will get messy and then i'll clean it
there will always be sequins on the floor
missing Oliver, plus skype, text, gmail and phone billz

i will go to New Zealand and then Japan. and then France.
soba noodles + floravital but not bonsoy
colourful make up will be really important in 2010 and also glitter eyeshadow that doesn't cut up yr eyes
no more zomby theme
dinosaurs will replace vampires as the years zietgeist sexy undead thing.
